Privacy

This is a personal site. It is not a business, it does not sell anything, and it has no interest in who you are. The short version: signing in stores an opaque ID, a name you pick, and a colour.

What is stored when you sign in

Game results

If you're signed in when a game ends, the result is saved to your account: how it finished, which seat you played, and a record of the game's moves. That is what the stats on your profile are built from, and you can download all of it there. Games played as a guest aren't tied to anyone.

What is not stored

Your email address. This site never asks Google for it, so it is never sent and there is nothing here to lose. Same for your profile picture, your contacts, and everything else in your Google account.

There are no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking pixels, and no page but Radio loads a third-party script.

One exception: the Radio page loads Apple's MusicKit and YouTube's player so it can play music, so Apple and YouTube can see visits to that page, under their own privacy policies.

The site runs on Cloudflare, which sees your IP address when your browser connects, as any web host does.

Cookies

One cookie, set only if you sign in. It keeps you signed in and does nothing else. Signing out deletes it.

The site also uses your browser's local storage for things like your theme, your skin, and which games you've recently joined. That never leaves your device.

Signing in is optional

Every game on this site can be played without an account. Signing in exists so you don't have to retype your name and pick your colour at every table.

Deleting your account

Email me and I'll delete the row. There isn't much in it.

Changes

If this ever starts storing more than the above, this page gets updated first.

DeetsMusic

Posts on the DeetsMusic page are anonymous. The post stores what you typed and, if you gave it, an app version, and nothing else. There is no account and no contact address; the link to your post is the only way back to it.

The DeetsMusic app checks in to fetch its music token and look for updates. It sends its version number, and the server keeps only a daily count of requests. Sign-in to Apple Music stays on your PC.

Your IP address is used for a moment to stop anyone flooding the boards or the app's server, and is not stored.

Browser extensions

The DeetsFilm browser extension has its own privacy page. The short version is the same spirit: it collects nothing.
